Over 200 million ounces of silver produced at the Keno Hill Silver District
Alexco is a Canadian primary silver company that owns the majority of the historic high-grade Keno Hill Silver District (“KHSD”). The District is located in Canada’s Yukon Territory.
KHSD has a rich history as one of the world’s highest-grade silver districts. Further, it’s located within the traditional territory of the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyak Dun and comprises of 233 square kilometers. It’s characterized by numerous mineral occurrences and more than 35 mine sites with a history of production. Moreover, year-round access to the property is via highway from Whitehorse to Mayo. Additionally, KHSD is connects to the national power grid. The Keno Hill Silver District has produced over 200 million ounces of silver.

Alexco has a long history of expanding Keno Hill’s mineral resources through successful exploration. They are currently advancing a development plan for the District. In 2019, the Company also published a positive pre-feasibility study (“PFS”) that estimates production of 1.12 million tonnes of ore at an average rate of 430 tonnes per day at an average grade of 805 grams per tonne silver over an 8-year mine life from the Flame & Moth, Bermingham, Bellekeno and Lucky Queen deposits. Alexco is in the final phase of the permitting process and is currently advancing key surface infrastructure while it awaits the final permit to make a positive construction decision.
