About Eastmain Resources
Eastmain Resources is a high-grade gold exploration company with high-quality assets in Québec. The highly skilled board and management teams are creating an exciting evolution. We are aggressively pursuing existing and new opportunities.
The company’s primary focus is exploration for precious metals in the Eastmain/Opinaca areas of central James Bay, Québec. The region is relatively under-exploration. It comprises several Archean greenstone belts and the rock assemblages. These are responsible for most of the world’s gold deposits. The James Bay region is one of North America’s newest gold districts. And it is host to five known deposits and is currently the focus of extensive staking and exploration.
The company holds a 100% interest in two high-grade gold properties with recent NI43-101 resource estimates. Two high-grade gold properties are the Clearwater project and its Eau Claire deposit and the Eastmain Mine Project. In addition, Eastmain holds a 36.7% interest in Éléonore South, a mineral exploration joint venture, located immediately south of Goldcorp Inc.’s Éléonore Mine. And six other strategic exploration properties in the James Bay greenstone belts. In total, Eastmain covers approximately 109,000 hectares of this new and fertile mining district.
