In the heart of Quebec’s renowned Abitibi Greenstone Belt, Cartier Resources is setting the stage for what could become the region’s next significant gold discovery. President and CEO Philippe Cloutier believes their flagship site, located just east of the prolific Val-d'Or mining camp, holds untapped potential. With a 2.3 million ounce gold resource already defined and a historical producer on-site, Cartier has momentum—and a plan. The company’s upcoming 100,000-metre drill program (about 500 holes) aims to define and expand multiple gold zones at shallow depths, generating consistent exploration results and updates over the next two years.

Cartier’s approach combines scale, experience, and location. Having filed a Preliminary Economic Assessment in 2023 with gold priced at $1,750 USD, the company sees strong upside with today’s market prices. As exploration efforts intensify, all eyes are on Cartier’s drilling newsflow and how it may reshape investor expectations for this emerging gold camp in eastern Canada.
