Potential to Be World Class
Steve Burleton, President & CEO of GT Gold Corp. speaks about their high grade copper-gold project, Saddle North.
GT Gold is a new and exciting story. We have three focuses right now, it’s copper, gold and to a lesser degree silver. Saddle North is a high grade copper-gold pour free system that has the potential to be world class, it was discovered in 2018. We’ve got ten holes into it and yet we’ve got something that that’s quite unbelievable at this stage.
It’s a system that increases in grade as you go down in depth. It’s captured the imagination of both the investors as well as other corporate and strategics out there. We also have Saddle South which was discovered in 2017. It’s is a high grade near surface gold, silver after thermal system that we believe is amenable to bulk mining that’s also very exciting but Saddle North has really changed the game for GT Gold at this stage.
What sets our story apart from from a lot of the others is the grade and the fact we are very close to infrastructure. We have a road, power and we have a port to the south of us.
The near-term plans are really to advance this Saddle North project. We’ve only drilled 10 holes to date. We looked to at least double that this year. We believe there’s significant upside potential not only in Saddle North but also in the land packages overall.
More on GT Gold Corp.
GT Gold is advancing the most important new gold-copper discoveries in the northern part of British Columbia’s rich Golden Triangle since the discovery of the nearby Red Chris deposit. Located up a gentle valley just 10 kilometres off highway 37, the discovery area combines 1) shallow bulk-tonnage-style gold at surface and, just below, deep high-grade underground-style gold at Saddle South, with 2) a massive new gold-rich Cu-Au-Ag porphyry system right next door, reminiscent of Red Chris. The discovery is unfolding now.
