Cardinal Resources Limited (ASX/TSX: CDV) is a West African gold‐focused exploration and development Company. That holds interests in tenements within Ghana, West Africa.

The Bolgatanga Project located in a Paleoproterozoic granite-greenstone belt in north east Ghana. The Subranum Project situated in the south western part of the country, also within a Paleoproterozoic granite-greenstone belt. Gold mineralisation in Ghana and along strike in Burkina Faso is locating within the greenstone belts. There is significant production from many gold mines in both regions, as well as from many small artisanal workings.

The Bolgatanga Project area is placing within a series of prospective granite-greenstone belts. Similarly, the Subranum project sited within the Sefwi-Bibiani granite-greenstone belt. The belts are a north east extension to the Paleoproterozoic aged Birimian basins. That formed during the collision between the West African and Guyana Archean Shields.
