CopAur Minerals is advancing a Nevada gold project toward potential production following a new Preliminary Economic Assessment and a 50% increase in its overall mineral resource estimate.
For gold development companies, growing a resource while demonstrating its potential economics can be an important step toward building a mine. Vancouver-based CopAur Minerals is focused on doing exactly that at its flagship Kinsley Mountain Gold Project in eastern Nevada.
Following an updated geological model, the company reported a 50% increase in the overall mineral resource estimate compared with previous work. CopAur also filed a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) this year, providing an updated framework for evaluating the project's development potential.
Management's longer-term objective is to bring the project intoproduction. While an exact timeline has not yet been established, the company says key shareholders have expressed interest in financing its development.
Looking ahead, CopAur is considering an RC drilling program in 2027 as it continues advancing the project. Management believes current gold prices provide a supportive environment for evaluating the project's economics and potential path toward financing and development.
With a larger resource, a recently completed PEA, future drilling plans, and a stated objective of reaching production, CopAur Minerals is working to advance its Nevada gold asset through its next stage of development.
