Stillwater Critical Minerals is advancing a large-scale polymetallic resource in Montana containing nickel, copper, cobalt, platinum group metals, gold and chromium with continued support from strategic investor Glencore.
Located within Montana’s Stillwater Igneous Complex, the company recently announced its third mineral resource estimate, delivering a substantial increase in inferred resources and the project’s first indicated mineralization.
The updated resource contains approximately 5 billion pounds of nickel, copper and cobalt, 7.7million ounces of palladium, platinum, rhodium and gold, plus 6.6billion pounds of chromium. In total, the project contains 10 minerals identified as critical minerals.
Stillwater Critical Minerals now has three drill rigs active as it continues advancing the project. Management is also increasing its engagement with the U.S. government as domestic critical mineral supply becomes an important strategic priority.
