EarthRenew: Turning Waste into Organic & Regenerative Fertilizer

April 7, 2021

A revolutionary 360° solution for organic fertilizer production

EarthRenew's patented thermal processing technology transforms livestock manure into a powerful, all-natural organic fertilizer. The fertilizer then promotes plant growth and restores soil health. The company is developing organic fertilizer formulas that offer 20% to 40% higher yields than using an equivalent application of chemical fertilizer.

Unlike chemical fertilizers, their organic fertilizer releases nutrients to plant roots slowly and steadily over a longer fertilization period. This prevents dangerous chemicals from leaching into groundwater.

"Conventional agriculture is 'feed the plant to grow the plant'. Regenerative agriculture is best thought of as 'feeding the soil to feed the plant'," says President and CEO, Keith Driver.

To further explain, EarthRenew's technology applies the exhaust from a natural gas turbine to thermally treat livestock waste (cow manure) . Electricity produced by this gas turbine can be sold to offset the majority of fuel costs, creating an economically sustainable and environmentally friendly method of organic fertilizer production.

The company believes they're a disruptor in the AgTech space. This is not only because the products that they're putting out have a different view, but because of the way they are produced. Their ability to produce regenerative products at a price point in line with conventional products also gives them an edge.

"We're going to go from capacity by the end of this year of about 40,000 tonnes to a capacity of 400,000 tonnes in the next three years," says Driver.

The company is also expecting to hit EBITDA positive in April of this year. This would put them at over 10 million dollars revenue, tracking a million dollars plus a month and growing.
