Eastmain Resources is a high-grade gold exploration company with high-quality assets in Québec. The highly skilled board and management teams are creating an exciting evolution. It aggressively pursuing existing and new opportunities.
The company’s primary focus is exploration for precious metals. It is in the Eastmain/Opinaca areas of central James Bay, Québec.
The region is relatively under-explored and comprises several Archean greenstone belts. The rock assemblages is responsible for most of the world’s gold deposits. The James Bay region is one of North America’s newest gold districts.
It is host to five known deposits and is currently the focus of extensive staking and exploration. The company holds a 100% interest in two high-grade gold properties. The Clearwater project and its Eau Claire deposit and the Eastmain Mine Project. In addition, Eastmain holds a 36.7% interest in Éléonore South.
A mineral exploration joint venture, located immediately south of Goldcorp Inc.'s Éléonore Mine and eight other strategic exploration properties in the James Bay greenstone belts. In total, Eastmain covers approximately 109,000 hectares of this new and fertile mining district.
