Fireweed Zinc is focused on the exploration and development of its Macmillan Pass property in Canada's Yukon
Fireweed Zinc is a zinc focused Canadian junior company. In fact, they are working on exploration and development on the Macmillan Pass Project located in Yukon Territory, Canada.
Zinc is critical for both automobiles and infrastructure. To clarify, its main use is galvanization which is the process of applying a protective zinc coating to steel or iron, to prevent rusting.
"Macmillan Pass is host to an already established resource that is world class for zinc led deposits. And it is a 540 square kilometre project that has tremendous blue sky potential for exploration." says CEO and Director, Brandon Macdonald. He continues, "It's probably one of the 50 largest zinc led deposits in the world. We still think there is ample room for a game changing discovery on that property."
The core of the Macmillan Pass Project are the Tom and Jason deposits. Tom was originally found in 1951 and Jason later in the 70s. Together, these two represent a very sizeable resource.
"We think that the investment community perhaps is not considered us enough as an exploration story. " says Macdonald
