Committed to being a responsible steward of the environment

Gran Colombia is a Canadian-based gold and silver exploration, development and production company with its primary focus in Colombia. Gran Colombia is currently the largest underground gold and silver producer in Colombia. In fact, they have several underground mines and two processing plants in operation at its Segovia and Marmato Operations. Moreover, the company is now paying shareholders a monthly dividend.

Responsibility in Mining

Gran Colombia views responsible mining as a company-wide commitment that is at the heart of all business decisions. The company endeavours to conduct its business to ensure lasting social progress and economic growth for all stakeholders.

Furthermore, Gran Colombia is committed to being a responsible steward of the environment. They're committed to respecting communities within which it works and to maintaining industry best practice health and safety standards.

Their social and community programs are designed to make positive, lasting contributions in the communities where they do business. They also work in partnership with host governments, local community groups, non-governmental organizations, contractors and suppliers, with a focus on human rights and maintaining a principled, conscientious approach to corporate citizenship.

"In collaboration with authorities, we improve infrastructure, roads, sewers, sidewalks. And the impact of this now is beautiful because it's connecting communities that before weren't able to because of the bad conditions of their roads," says Corporate ESG Manager, Sasha Villoza.

We design, construct and operate all our facilities in accordance with the highest applicable international health, safety and environmental standards and we seek partnerships based on open, transparent communication, with the aim of being responsible, respected and welcomed, everywhere we do business.

"Sustainability will be in the future of investment, that’s for sure, and those companies that go beyond will be those that are better positioned," Villoza.
