Advancing its battery-grade nickel and platinum group metals project in Montana
Group Ten Metals is a mineral exploration company. They're focusing on the development of high-quality platinum, palladium, nickel, copper, cobalt and gold exploration assets in top North American mining jurisdictions. The company’s core asset is the Stillwater West PGE-Ni-Cu project adjacent to Sibanye-Stillwater’s high-grade PGE mines in Montana, USA. Group Ten is currently advancing the project with drill results coming soon and a maiden resource estimate in progress.
Stillwater West
The Stillwater West PGE-Ni-Cu Project consists of 14 multi-kilometer-scale exploration target areas. The targets are along a 25 km strike length in Montana, USA. Located in one of the top regions in the world for PGE-Ni-Cu mineralization, the producing J-M Reef deposits operated by Sibanye-Stillwater is the highest-grade major PGE project in the world. It's also the largest outside South Africa and Russia. Moreover, in June 2017, one month after South African producer Sibanye announced the completed takeover of Stillwater Mining company for USD 2.2 billion, Group Ten Metals announced the closure of the Stillwater West project acquisition deal, which positions the company as the second largest landholder in the district. In addition to the land package, the Stillwater West acquisition included an extensive historic database of soil and rock geochemistry, geophysical surveys, geologic mapping. Further it included historic drilling with nearly 12,000 metres of preserved core.
Group Ten also holds the highly prospective Kluane PGE-Ni-Cu project. This is on trend with Nickel Creek Platinum's Wellgreen deposit in Canada's Yukon Territory. Additionally, the company holds the high-grade Black Lake-Drayton Gold project in the Rainy River district of northwest Ontario.
