Maple Gold Mines is advancing district-scale gold projects in Québec with a combined 5.2-million-ounce resource, established infrastructure, a funded drill program, and further exploration potential.
Large, infrastructure-connected gold projects with multi-million-ounce resources are increasingly hard to find in established Canadian mining jurisdictions. Maple Gold Mines has one. An updated resource in April 2026 established 5.2 million ounces of gold across the company's 100%-owned Douay and Joutel projects in Québec's Abitibi greenstone belt, with Douay accounting for roughly 4 million ounces and Joutel contributing a maiden resource of more than 1 million ounces at a higher grade of just over 4 g/t gold. The company remains at the exploration and development stage, and management's focus now is on testing how much larger the district could become.
That work is already funded and underway. A 25,000-metre fall drill campaign is targeting resource expansion at Joutel, following winter drilling that extended high-grade gold zones up to 450 metres beyond the historical Eagle-Telbel underground workings, where the system remains open in multiple directions.
Work is also progressing on the development side. The company has completed an internal scoping and engineering trade-off analysis evaluating potential mining scenarios across the district, including a centralized mill that would process material from both Joutel and Douay, which sit roughly 35 kilometres apart by road.
The shareholder base adds another dimension to the story. Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is Maple Gold's largest shareholder, investor Michael Gentile is another strategic holder, and the register includes a number of leading institutional investors.
The team behind the projects has been substantially rebuilt. Maple Gold has brought in a new independent Chair and added directors whose backgrounds span Agnico Eagle's senior ranks and mining finance, while the executive team has been strengthened this year with appointments across exploration, investor relations, and corporate development.
From here, investors will be watching a steady flow of assay results through the remainder of 2026. With 5.2 million ounces already defined and additional exploration potential remaining, Maple Gold is working to demonstrate the economic potential of a large-scale Canadian gold district.
