Analyst at Canacorrd Genuity Corp, Matt Bottomley shares what he believes is the most appealing cannabis market

According to Bottomley, the most attractive market he's seen, with respect to how it's regulated and how it's being rolled out, is the Florida market.

"Florida is a medical only market and when you go down there, it is incredible how many patients are actually registering," he says. "I think it's over two hundred thousand now."

Medical cannabis patients in the U.S.

In fact, in 2018 Florida was in the top 3 states with the most medical cannabis patients in the U.S; in selected states where cannabis is legal.

Florida had 129,929 medical cannabis patients registered. The top two states were Michigan with 227,000 patients and Arizona with 169,478.

Overall, in 2018 the U.S. had an estimated 883,952 registered medical cannabis patients.
