Nighthawk Gold: Developing Opportunity Within the Indin Lake Gold Property
Advancing the Colomac Gold Project
Nighthawk’s 100% owned Indin Lake Gold Property is a district-scale land position located north of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Nighthawk controls over 90% of the entire greenstone belt, centered around a former producing gold mine which had a very short production profile. The opportunity for Nighthawk was not just in growing contained ounces, but finding high grade.
The Company’s focus is advancing the Colomac Gold Project, which has a current inferred mineral resource of 2.6 million ounces. And since 2014, the Company has outlined discrete zones of high-grade mineralization which provides positive impacts for the project. In addition to Colomac, Nighthawk as been advancing a number of its high-priority regional targets which are a testament to the underexplored nature of this camp. The property is host to numerous gold deposits and showings. It's hosted within a variety of deposit settings, where drilling has returned significant grade and widths. Nighthawk has access to the project area by winter road from Yellowknife. It also has a 5,000 foot airstrip which provides access year-round.
“I think Colomac really has a chance to be an underground deposit as well given the fact that some of those zones of higher grade are widening out to vast true width and depth.”, says President and CEO, Michael Bryon.
