Looking for high-grade gold in the historic Victorian Goldfields
Outback Goldfields is a new junior mining company searching for high-grade gold in the historic Victorian Goldfields. The company has a premier land package in the region adjacent to the Fosterville mine, which Kirkland Lake owns. Five years ago, Kirland Lake made a discovery called the Swan Zone. It was 50 grams per tonne and considered the highest grade, highest margin mine in the world.

"The nice thing about the Victorian Goldfields is we can drill all year round. So, we should have a steady news flow throughout the year with a number of catalysts," says CEO and Director, Chris Donaldson.
Outback has recently raised over 11 million dollars and plans on deploying the majority of that into exploration in 2021.
Historically, the Victorian goldfields have been explored for mesozonal (Ballarat style) gold deposits. However, with the discovery of epizonal (Fosterville style) mineralization at the Swan Zone, Fosterville gold mine, a new opportunity has emerged to explore in previously overlooked areas for Fosterville style mineralization. Further, the Melbourne and Eastern Bendigo zones host almost exclusively all historic Fosterville style gold deposits.
"There have been 80 million ounces already produced in the region and a lot of people are now saying there's an additional 80 million ounces yet to be found," says Donaldson.
