Vizsla Copper Targets Major Copper Discovery with Multi-Project Drill Programs

Vizsla Copper Targets Major Copper Discovery with Multi-Project Drill Programs

Active exploration across Alaska and emerging porphyry system

Why is Vizsla Copper drilling multiple copper targets?

Vizsla Copper is advancing exploration across its critical minerals project portfolio, with drilling underway at a new porphyry discovery (Thira) and additional drilling planned at its recently acquired Palmer project in Southeast Alaska.

Two highly mineralized districts. Known deposits in each. Large copper discoveries rarely happen in isolation.

They typically occur within mineral districts where multiple deposits share the same geological system.

Vizsla Copper is exploring within those types of environments.

The company’s strategy focuses on identifying copper deposits within regions already known for hosting large mineral systems.

A key addition to the company’s portfolio is the Palmer VMS Project in Southeast Alaska. It is located within a district that contains current operations and multiple copper-rich deposits.

These deposits often contain additional metals including zinc and critical elements such as gallium and germanium, which play important roles in advanced electronics and defense technologies.

Vizsla Copper is currently running an active exploration program.

At the Thira discovery (Poplar Project), two drill rigs are testing what management describes as a major new porphyry copper discovery.

Porphyry systems are among the most significant sources of global copper supply.

Drilling results from these programs could help determine the scale and potential of the mineral system.

Later in the season, the company will initiate drilling at its Alaska property.

One of the rigs will target expanding the newly discovered high-grade copper core, identified in the 2023 and 2024 drilling campaigns. The second rig is exploring for a new deposit.  Not too far from known mineralization but its purpose is to add to the mineral resource. Exploration success in these zones could significantly expand the company’s copper discovery potential.

For investors, early-stage copper exploration often focuses on identifying large mineral systems capable of supporting long-term production.

Vizsla Copper is testing multiple targets within districts known for hosting exactly those types of deposits.
