Drilling underway towards an inaugural resource estimate
Metallic Minerals is a growth stage exploration company focused on the acquisition and development of high-grade silver and gold projects within underexplored districts proven to produce top-tier assets. The Keno Silver Project is a highly-prospective, 166 square kilometre, brownfields exploration property in one of the world’s highest grade silver districts. The property is adjacent to, and on-trend with, Alexco Resource Corp, one of the highest-grade primary silver operations in the world which features an estimated life of mine production grade of 804 grams per tonne with 30.5 million ounces of silver in the proven and probable category and a further 74 million ounces of silver in M&I. Metallic Minerals' land package covers the eastern portion of the district, along with portions on the western and southern sides, and represents a continuation of the same geological structures and host rock associated with the demonstrated mineralization occurring on Alexco’s ground to the west. The area features excellent infrastructure, including grid power and all-season access along the Silver Trail highway.
The company’s La Plata silver-gold-copper project, located in the high-grade La Plata district of the prolific Colorado Mineral Belt, is drill-ready and features an historic resource estimate while its McKay Hill project northeast of Keno Hill is a high-grade historic silver-gold producer. Metallic Minerals is also building a portfolio of gold royalties in the historic Klondike Gold District. The company is led by a team with a track record of discovery and exploration success, including large scale development, permitting and project financing.
