Banyan Gold: Gold Exploration in the Yukon

September 10, 2019

Banyan Gold is focused on its two top tier projects in the Yukon

Banyan Gold is focusing on gold exploration in the Yukon where they have two top tier projects. Both of these have high potential to host multi million ounces.

The Hyland Project

The 100% owned Hyland Gold Project is located in the Watson Lake Mining District in the southeast Yukon, approximately 74 kilometres northeast from the town of Watson Lake within the traditional territory of the Kaska Dena Nation (Liard First Nation). The Hyland Gold Project consists of 927 active Yukon registered quartz mineral claims totalling over 18,620 hectares in area that is road accessible from Watson Lake.

"In just over a year we've really progressed Banyan. We've done several financings and we have added a strong property to our portfolio. As well, we've advanced our main asset, the Highland Gold Project, via an extensive drill program this last year", says President and CEO, Tara Christie.

Aurex-McQuesten

The 100% owned Aurex-McQuesten gold project is located in the Mayo Mining district, approximately 56 kilometres northeast from the village of Mayo and 356 kilometres north of Whitehorse.

The project has a rich history of exploration and mining dating back to the beginning of the 1900s. Historically, the area nearby at Keno and Galena Hill has been subject to intense silver exploration, development, and mining. The earliest prospecting activity for gold began as early as 1898, shortly after the Klondike gold rush.
