Echelon's Beng Lai weighs in on future of the food industry

The Managing Director of Investment Banking at Echelon Capital Markets, Beng Lai sat down with BTV to talk about what is trending in the food industry.

According to Lai, there's been plenty of innovation. For example, there has been the creation of fascinating new products. This includes transitional products such as meat substitutes and dairy substitutes.

It's also been noted that fast food chains, restaurants etc., are including plant-based meals and food on their menus. "That further drives the momentum. This is going to be a high-growth sector, on a sustained basis," says Lai.
