Cielo Waste: Turning Waste into Renewable Diesel

April 7, 2021

Turning landfill waste into a valuable commodity

Cielo has an exclusive global license from a related party for a game-changing refining process that can convert multiple different waste streams into renewable diesel. Plus it can do so at a considerably lower cost than biodiesel companies. Almost every developed country in the world has a mandate to blend renewable fuels, and Cielo will be selling into this growing market. The global applications of Cielo’s technology are enormous.

"There's not a traditional biodiesel facility in North America that's profitable without subsidies. We built a company without the need of subsidies by using waste," says President and CEO, Don Allan.

Cielo facilities can transform most household and industrial waste that currently goes to landfill into valuable diesel fuel. Moreover, its facilities operate with virtually no emissions and can help greatly reduce methane emissions from landfills, as well as reduce reliance on imported biofuels made from agricultural products.

Additionally, Cielo currently has a 12 to 14 percent annual growth rate in the diesel market. They also have big expansion plans in the works. They've announced nine facilities that they're getting ready to build. "We're hoping to build 40 facilities that we have in the queue, being built over the next five years," says Allan.
