West African gold project has the potential to more than double their production profile
Roxgold is a Canadian-based gold mining company with assets located in West Africa. The company owns and operates the high-grade Yaramoko Gold Mine located on the Houndé greenstone belt in Burkina Faso and is advancing the development and exploration of the Séguéla Gold Project located in Côte d’Ivoire.
The company has recently achieved another milestone at its Séguéla Gold Project. The local government has approved the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, greenlighting the project into breaking ground.
Seguela has the potential to more than double their production profile within a short time frame. In fact, this can be done without the need for additional equity.
The Séguéla Gold Project
The Séguéla Gold Project was acquired by Roxgold in April 2019. Further, the Project is located approximately 240 kilometres north-west of Yamoussoukro, the political capital of Côte d’Ivoire, and approximately 480 kilometres north-west of Abidjan, the commercial capital of the country.
The project consists of the resource-defined, near surface Antenna, Agouti, Boulder and Ancien deposits that are ideally located near existing infrastructure including grid power, transport and water resources. There are an additional 22 highly prospective targets within a total land package of 36,300 hectares with drilling ongoing.
Roxgold will continue to advance this project towards the completion of a Feasibility Study early next year towards starting production in 2022.
