Victoria Gold: Leading Yukon Gold Developer and Producer
On track to produce approximately 200,000 ounces of gold in 2021
Victoria Gold is the leading Yukon gold developer and producer. The company’s Eagle Gold Mine in central Yukon is on track to produce approximately 200,000 ounces of gold in 2021, the mine’s first year of full production.
Victoria Gold’s Eagle Gold Mine
The Eagle Gold Mine produces [gold] doré from a conventional open pit operation with a three-stage crushing plant, in-valley heap leach and carbon-in-leach adsorption-desorption gold recovery plant. Furthermore, it is located approximately 375 kilometers north of the capital city of Whitehorse.
The mine is easily accessible with year-round road access. Also, personnel, who work a fly-in / fly-out work rotation, are accommodated in a 300-person all-season well-equipped camp. It is also connected to the Yukon power grid, and a commercial airstrip used to transport personnel, is located 80 km to the south near the village of Mayo.
Victoria Gold has successfully ramped up the largest gold mine in Yukon history into production in 2020. Additionally, the company is currently looking at options to increase production to 250,000 ounces per year. Further, they have a +$10M exploration program underway. It’s focused on Eagle at depth and nearby high Nugget/Raven and Lynx targets.
