Atlantic Canada's Emerging Gold Producer
Anaconda Mining is a gold mining, development, and exploration company. They're focused in the top-tier Canadian mining jurisdictions of Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.
In addition, Anaconda's primary focus is growth. The company plans to be a 150,000 ounce a year producer within the next three to five years. Furthermore, they have a three-pronged approach to reach that goal. The first is exploring for discoveries and leveraging off their assets in Newfoundland. The second is developing its Nova Scotia asset, Goldboro, and the third would be M&A.
In Newfoundland, Anaconda is projecting to produce between 18,000 and 19,000 ounces of gold from its new Argyle Gold Mine in 2021. "We have discovered other areas of it which we believe have a strong potential of being the next mine that we're going to do develop as we extend our life of mine," says CFO, Robert Dufour.
Goldboro Gold Project
The Goldboro Gold Project is an advanced exploration and development project. In fact, it forms a key part in Anaconda’s strategy for near-term growth. Goldboro is located on tidewater approximately 185 km northeast of Halifax, Nova Scotia within Nova Scotia’s Eastern Goldfields District.
Anaconda has recently put out a new updated resource. "We've more than doubled the amount of ounces of open pit material at the Goldboro Gold Project, bringing it to over a million ounces of mineable material through open pits," says CEO and Director, Kevin Bullock. Now the project is the second largest undeveloped gold deposit in the Maritimes as well as the largest single gold deposit in the province of Nova Scotia.
