Fast tracking its historic gold mine in B.C. towards production
Talisker is a junior resource company involved in the exploration of gold projects in British Columbia, Canada. Talisker’s projects include the Bralorne Gold Complex, an advanced stage project with significant exploration potential from a historical high-grade producing gold mine as well as its Spences Bridge Project where the Company holds ~85% of the emerging Spences Bridge Gold Belt and several other early stage Greenfields projects.
Bralorne Gold Complex
The Bralorne Gold Complex is located near Vancouver, B.C. It is an historic mine that produced 4.2 million ounces of high-grade gold between 1932 and 1971.
"We're aiming for one and a half to two million ounces there at Bralorne, and really, by the end of the year we want to have that drilling completed and we want to start to build our resource statement," says Terry Harbort President & CEO.
Up to now, all of the focus was on underground high-grade, narrow veins. However, recently Talisker has confirmed that there's potential for another style of gold mineralization, and this is a bulk tonnage or a large scale mineralization.
Plans to Drill
Talisker has eight projects at drill stage. The company is also planning on drilling four of those this year. "We have budgeted, at the moment, 15,000 meters of drilling in our green fields exploration program. Just under half of that will be at Golden Hornet, because it's the most advanced of our projects," says Harbort.
