Exploring in the Geraldton Gold Camp
"I wanted to continue to find new gold. And that's why I'm working for Tombill right now," says Senior Advisor, Geology, Tim Twomey.
Tombill owns various royalty-free mineral exploration and past-producing gold properties in the Geraldton and Beardmore Camp, Ontario. Further, the company’s business is mineral exploration, primarily gold. It has 74 claims: 60 are owned and patented, five leased, and nine where it owns the mineral rights. Of these, the Tombill Main Group property comprises 58 claims: 54 owned patents, as well as four owned mineral rights. The Tombill Main Group claims were originally staked in the first Geraldton Gold Rush in the 1930’s.
Geraldton Gold Camp, of which Tombill Main Group is central, is a prime mining district, safe jurisdiction. It also possesses sound installed and accessible infrastructure. Moreover, it's surrounded by Greenstone (and its Hardrock Project) which was recently acquired by Orion Mine Finance Group and Equinox Gold Corp. "Hardrock, over the last ten years, has spent a lot on exploration and has discovered approximately 11.5 million ounces of gold," says CEO and Chairman, Adam Horne.
In addition, economic concentrations of gold in the Beardmore-Geraldton Belt are typical of epigenetic hydrothermal gold and are considered to be mesothermal lode gold deposits.
"Basically, Tombill has a piece of ground that has seen very little of any modern exploration," says Technical Advisor, Dr. Quinton Hennigh.
