York Harbour: An Overlooked Property Leads to Potential for a Big Discovery
Stocks to Invest in: Mining
York Harbour Metals Inc is an exploration and development company focused on the York Harbour Copper-Zinc Project, a past producing mine located approximately 27 km from Corner Brook, Newfoundland. It also has an interest in Phoenix Gold Properties.
York harbour was first explored in the late 1800s. Today it looks that it could be producing copper and zinc as the mineralization on the property requires a more contemporary approach as opposed to what previous explorers did.
The company plans to continue drilling 11 known mineralization zones during their upcoming drill campaign before providing an initial resource estimate.
Recently York Harbour also announced a new President and CEO - Bruce Durham.
"This mineralization is really quite special. We've had some zinc intersections that were up over 30% zinc, and we've had some copper intersections that were in the well over 10% copper over significant width"
Bruce, P.Geo, holds a BSc. Geology from University of Western Ontario. Mr. Durham has more than 40 years of work in the junior resource industry including mandates in corporate management, project development and exploration project management. More recently he served as President and CEO of Nevada Zinc Corporation, Executive Chairman Rockcliff Metals Corporation and COO of Norvista Capital Corporation. Mr. Durham is a director of Minera Alamos Inc. and is VP Exploration for BTU Metals Corp.
